Baker Hughes, a GE company has an opening for a Field Engineer (Well Intervention) to be based in Odessa, TX.
Conducts all business activities in accordance to BHGE HSE policies, Legal Compliance requirements, and BHGE Values
Participate in the three year engineering development program (EDP)
Substantial work on well sites will be required during the EDP program
Perform root cause investigations on all assigned nonconformance issues and document accurately to prevent repeat incidents
Prepare both internal and external technical reports on root cause analysis and new product performance
Perform analysis on forces, pressures, and stresses acting on completions systems to create successful system design
Provide technical support to operations and sales by having in-depth understanding of tool functions and applications
Ensure supplied equipment is compatible with all other equipment used for job
Provide front-line engineering support with customer
Other reasonable duties as determined by management
Bachelors’ degree in engineering
2 years of experience with Completions and/or Well Intervention applications
Ability to be on call outside of normal business hours
Thorough mechanical and application proficiency in an oil and gas environment
Strong communication skills
Bachelors’ Degree in Mechanical, Petroleum, or Civil Engineering
Experience with CAD Modeling
Thorough knowledge of BHGE Wellbore Intervention products and methods
Public speaking and presentation experience
Experience performing root cause analysis
Experience working in a team environment
