This position provides Real Time Optimization Engineer support for the deployment of real time Optimization and control hardware. It provides up-front, customer- focused real time production optimization engineering support for specific projects involving Production Optimization and Artificial Lift Systems. This role will perform well optimization for customers and support our field personnel in configuration of customer SCADA. It involves technical interactions with external customers and with Production Automation and expanded support for Artificial Lift Systems. The role requires a self- starting individual who can deploy and configure real time applications working both independently and jointly to deliver completed systems to client specifications.
DUTIES & RESPONSIBILITIES:
Participate in technical reviews and requirement preparation for both potential and actual automation projects. Provide internal/external technical support for the application, specification and evaluation of any given automation project or equipment deployment.
Responsible for the deployment, commissioning and testing of the Real Time Optimization System to meet the project specification and delivery schedule; with emphasis on WFT automation.
Prepare Technical Project Reports and plans for use by other team members, managers and clients within a project to gain understanding of progress, issues, resolutions and costs.
Prepare technical reports for well optimization, reflecting economic benefits for the customer.
Prepare and hold Technical Presentations for Clients.
Prepare and Present Technical papers at Industry Conferences and internally within Weatherford.
Position requires travel to client locations in the region and working as part of the automation install teams.
Identify and carry out training requirements for clients and operational Weatherford Teams.
Technically support the client during operations of the project.
Telephone and email support will be part of the function of this role.
Write and implement procedures for efficient and effective operation of the Real Time Systems.

Advanced computer skills
Ability to learn Artificial Lift
Ability to read and understand electrical drawings
Ability to work with minimum supervision and interact with all levels
Ability to design and perform critical review of real time software / hardware applications
Ability to design fit for purpose systems from suite of components within the Weatherford products
Ability to negotiate
Ability to perform Gas Lift well optimization or learn how to.
Knowledge of sales techniques
Ability to work with Microsoft Office Suites (Outlook, Word, Excel)
Good Communication Skills, both written and verbal.
Bachelor in engineering or electronics
1 – 2 years’ work experience in SCADA and Artificial lift optimization
1 – 2 years operational experience in Oil & Gas systems
Relevant Real Time data acquisition experience with an operator or oil field service company
Knowledge of Gas Lift Systems
Experience interfacing with clients
The physical ability to immediately respond to emergency situations.
Extensive U.S. travel required to meet internal and external customers’ needs
Valid driver’s license and good driving record
0-2+ years working knowledge of Oilfield electronic control products regarding installation, set-up and use.
Advanced computer skills
Engineering training a plus
Master in engineering or Related Field
Relevant petroleum industry specific, project engineering / management and Computer Science
