Oasis Petroleum Senior Staff Marketing Accountant in Houston, Texas
To support ongoing growth, we are currently seeking a Senior Accountant to support the Oasis Petroleum Marketing group with various functions related to our oil and gas assets in North Dakota, Montana, and Texas. The Oasis Petroleum Marketing Senior Accountant’s primary responsibilities include assisting the Supervisor in mentoring and guiding the team, along with oversight and preparation of monthly actual and accrual schedules, profit/loss schedules, balance sheet and elimination journal entries, monthly account reconciliations, monthly financial analysis, and prior period adjustments (PPAs). This position reports directly to the Oasis Petroleum Marketing Accounting Supervisor and is located in downtown Houston, TX
Salary and level will be commensurate with experience.
Work closely with the Marketing, Midstream and Production Teams to prepare accurate pricing for Revenue Actuals and Accruals
Manage / Prepare Monthly Revenue Actuals, Accruals, and Journal Entries
Manage / Prepare Monthly Revenue Account Reconciliations and Analytics
Manage / Process Volume, Price, and Tax Related PPA’s
Provide Leadership and Strategic Direction for Critical Company-Wide Projects and/or Initiatives
Lead Oasis Petroleum Marketing Team to Ensure Internal Financial and Reporting Requirements are Clearly Communicated
Maintain Proper SOX Controls and Review/Update as Changes to Processes Occur
Mentor/Develop Oasis Petroleum Marketing Team Staff
Monitor and Communicate Resource Needs
Other Duties Include but not Limited to:
Maintain Policies and Procedures
Assist and Participate in Special Projects, as Needed

Bachelor’s degree in Accounting or related field
10+ years of Oil & Gas Accounting experience, including Revenue or Marketing Accounting experience
Strong analytical skills and ability to create and/or improve processes
Develop strong working relationships and communicate effectively across the organization, especially with the Management teams
Ability to work well in a team environment
Strong time management skills and ability to work in a fast-paced environment while ensuring accuracy
MS Excel Proficiency
Flexibility to grow and expand with company needs
