Oasis Petroleum Senior Facilities Engineer in Houston, Texas

In response to ongoing growth, we are currently seeking a detail oriented, experienced engineer to join our facilities engineering group. The Senior Facility Engineer will work with a cross-functional technical team responsible for designing, implementing and maintaining production facilities while maintaining a safe work environment and ensuring compliance with State and Federal regulations. This includes central facilities, sales points, and coordination with internal and external mid-stream infrastructure. The Facility Engineer will develop and manage capital budgets to achieve company goals. Level and salary commensurate with experience.

  • Design the technical scope of projects to meet requirements while complying with governmental regulations and area/industry standards

  • Model existing and proposed facilities in support of operations, project engineering, and commercial development

  • Develop required AFE's along with the economics and justification

  • Track actual costs and monitor expenditures for all AFE's and Budget

  • Collaborate with Development Team to determine facility needs to keep up with drilling activity and identify critical processing bottle necks prior to curtailing production

  • Coordinate with Procurement group for competitive bids

  • Coordinate with Production, Regulatory and EH&S personnel to assure compliance, safety and appropriate integration of facility systems

  • Accountable for leading process change reviews in a timely manner and ensuring safe operations

  • Collaborate with field operations to implement a maintenance management program

  • Travels as required to field sites in Williston, ND or Midland, TX

  • Bachelor's degree in Engineering

  • 3 years of upstream oil and gas experience

  • Experience designing and constructing production facilities

  • Strong interpersonal and analytical skills

  • Positive, self-starting attitude

  • Ability to travel domestically as needed

  • Demonstrated track record of technical excellence

  • Ability to work in a fast paced and fluid environment

  • Bachelor's degree in Mechanical , Chemical, or Petroleum Engineering

  • Strong team building skills and ability to communicate effectively across all functions in the organization

  • Experience with PipeSim, ProMax or similar process simulation programs to support capital projects

  • Experience in Permian basin

  • Experience with salt water disposal including well operations
