We are looking for a Business Analyst at our corporate headquarters located in Dallas, Texas.
Essential Job Duties
Provide financial/accounting expertise to OxyChem business teams including effective analysis regarding short and long term performance forecasts and actual performance results
Coordinate and review monthly business projections, annual business plans and strategic forecasts; ensure financial projections are consistent with management's objectives and are prepared on sound operating and business information
Conduct monthly financial closings including analysis of product pricing, profitability and sales/ operating variances
Prepare, evaluate and review the financial aspects of major commercial contract proposals and ensure adherence to financial terms
Prepare pricing calculations for major customer contracts, customer profitability analysis and analysis of company logistics costs
Identify and recommend improvements to financial controls within the business areas
Monitor product inventory levels and coordinate with business teams on achieving optimum levels
Prepare monthly and quarterly financial data and analysis to support business goals and ensure compliance to accounting/financial regulations and objectives
Coordinate with accounting and cross-functional departments on financial closings, plans and projects
Provide routine and ad-hoc financial support to management and business teams as required for product line profitability, product integration impact, asset optimization and other value-added analysis
Bachelor's degree in Accounting and/or Finance required
5-10 years of professional financial/accounting experience required
Experience in manufacturing environment preferred
Strong verbal and written communication skills
Prioritization, organization and timely decision making skills
Proficiency in Microsoft applications required; SAP and TM-1 experience preferred, with strong spreadsheet/financial modeling skills
Preferred MBA degree and/or CPA certification
