Valero Manager Business Development - Ethanol Plants in SAN ANTONIO, Texas

This position is responsible for business development and marketing of Valero renewable fuel products. Develops and executes a variety of projects that improve Valero’s biofuel profitability through the effective development and utilization of logistic infrastructure. * Identifies, develops, and evaluates alternatives for improving profitability of existing and future logistics assets around bio fuel blending and/or distribution. * Develops productive working relationships with both existing and new customers. Keeps informed of marketing intelligence and industry trends through frequent contact with customers, industry counterparts, and industry information sources. * Compares alternatives and recommends leading cases for investments. * Helps develop market pricing strategies for value protection. * Seeks out and analyzes market expansion opportunities for higher blends of bio fuels. * Contributes to strategic plan development and execution for the commercial organization. * Develops and negotiates logistic business opportunities with internal and external parties. * Completes business development and optimization projects.

Qualifications:
* Bachelor’s degree (or higher) in business, economics, engineering or related field required. * A minimum of 10 years of business development, supply, trader or related experience required. * Experience in marketing/sales required. * Experienced business competencies in orientation, communication, developing others, financial responsibility, innovation, leadership, organizing, planning, problem solving, decision-making, and self-development required. * Travel up-to 20 percent of the time required. * Proficient with spreadsheets and word processing required. * Experience in marketing/sales required. * Experience in the Petroleum and/or bio fuels industry preferred. * Experience with petroleum and/or bio fuels product supply and distribution, marketing, and trading with an understanding of the factors influencing pricing of petroleum and/or bio fuel products preferred. * Experience in Logistics Operations in the Energy industry preferred. * 5 years supervisory experience preferred.

Position level and salary will be commensurate with qualifications and experience.
